Letcia's heart problem is Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) an inherited disease of your heart muscle, where the muscle wall of your heart becomes thickened. HCM is a genetic condition caused by a change or mutation in one or more genes and is passed on through families. Each child of someone with HCM has a 50 per cent chance of inheriting the condition. Which she inherit from her father.

Her father married three times he's first wife is Claudette but she died after giving birth to Ivory at the age of 25

When Alfred was born Domenico was 20. When Eric was born Domenico was 24. When Ivor was born Domenico was 27.

Domenico met Haeun on a university when he was visiting a fair he happened to encounter Haeun booth that sells different pastry and got interested with her, invited her to dinner that leads him to marrying her. Unfortunately he was just infatuated with her which led to a divorce.

Domenico also had an affair with the CEO of their business part Nadeshiko. He got married behind Haeun's back when he didn't come back for five year.

Leticia's Story

Leticia’s parents got divorced the moment she was born. Before Leticia’s mother Ha-Eun discover that she was pregnant, Leticia’s father Dominico went on a business trip in Japan and didn’t comeback for five years, when Dominico came back he brought his mistress Nadeshiko, the current ceo of the Furukawa company and Damien Placido. The love child of Nadeshiko and Dominico.

The Compton company and the Furukawa company have been business partner for ten years. Apparently the woman that became his mistress was the daughter of Takehiro the founder of the Furukawa company, according to Takehiro, his daughter, Nadeshiko fell in love with Dominico even she is aware the he is married. Surprisingly, Dominico feels the same way resulting to eloped. The reason he didn’t come back for five year was because he wants to be their for his new wife. He stayed there until his pregnant gave birth to his child and help her take care of his new son, Damien Placido. Before he comes home back in England.

When Ha-eun was five months pregnant with Leticia, she discovered that he found a new wife from Leticia’s second older half brother Eric, since he was the secretary of Dominico. The news of the pregnancy of Nadeshiko did not surprise Ha-eun, she was aware that the man has fallen out of love for her, Ha-eun immediately reported this to his mother and father. Normally you’d expect Leticia’s grandmother, Concettina to be angry about it but no, she was actually genuinely happy about it. To finally get rid of Leticia’s mother.


Concettina didn’t approve of Dominico and Ha-Eun marriage in the first place since Ha-Eun is from a middle class family. Not only that, she also haven’t move on from that death of her second son first wife Claudette Burke Roche. However her husband William Compton he didn’t care background of the person. He was a strict but kind and intelligent man. He was the one that approve the marriage of Ha-Eun and Dominico. William does love Claudette like his own daughter but she’s dead. Ha-Eun is alive and she almost have the similar traits of his son first wife, she might not be rich but her kindness, love, sincerity, knowledge, and effort to be part of the Compton family reminds him of his own mother, which Claudette never have.

Leticia's spent her childhood with her mother in Seoul, Korea until her father took her in London at the age of 12. Her father thinks of her as a mistake, and the only reason he took her in was because her Italian grandmother said so. He doesn’t like her, he always ignores her like she’s not there. On her 18 birthday her father gave her a cat as a gift, that’s the only kindness that her father ever shown to her, even though she doesn’t like cats.

Leticia’s father died at the age of 50, leaving her under the care of her grandparents. She also had a half brother name Damien Placido, who is only 5 months younger than her, and after their father died he has taken the company at the age of 19.
